Glue handles small holes in low-stress areas, but any tear longer than roughly 6 inches, anything on a seam, and anything where a baffle meets an outer wall all have to be stitched through multiple layers of heavy commercial vinyl. INFLATABLE REPAIRS WE PROVIDE
TORN PANEL AND SEAM REPAIR
Splits along manufactured seams are re-stitched as close to the original line as the machine allows, with reinforcing vinyl strips added behind. Patch work is reserved for genuine small holes, where a bonded patch genuinely outlasts a stitched one.
BAFFLE AND INTERNAL RIB REPAIR
Internal baffles hold a unit's shape, and when one lets go the whole structure sags regardless of pressure. These repairs mean opening the piece, working inside it, and closing it again properly, which is why they are rarely a field job.
RF WELDING AND PANEL REPLACEMENT
Where damage is too extensive to stitch out, the affected panel is cut at the seams and a new one welded or sewn in its place. Replacement is often faster and stronger than trying to rescue badly degraded fabric.
BLOWER, VALVE, AND TUBE REPAIRS
Intake tubes tear, valves crack, and blowers fail long before the fabric wears out. Replacing those items returns an otherwise serviceable unit to work for a small fraction of what a new inflatable of the same size would cost.
ZIPPER, VELCRO, AND NETTING REPLACEMENT
Zippers seize, hook-and-loop closures gradually lose their grip, and mesh netting almost always tears at the corners first. All three of those are routine replacements that restore both function and appearance without ever touching the structural fabric around them.
TENT AND CANOPY SEWING

Nothing goes back to a client on the assumption that it worked. Every repaired unit is fully inflated, held under pressure, and checked around the repair and the surrounding seams before it is folded and packed for collection.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can a bounce house be repaired or does it have to be replaced?
Most damage is repairable. Torn panels, split seams, failed baffles, worn zippers, and damaged netting are all routine work. Replacement only really makes sense when the fabric itself has degraded broadly enough that new failures keep appearing somewhere else.
What glue is used to repair vinyl inflatables?
A solvent-based vinyl cement formulated for coated PVC, not craft adhesive or cyanoacrylate. Common products set tacky within a couple of minutes and reach usable strength in about an hour. R&R Tents & Events keeps the right cements stocked in Los Angeles, CA.
How big should a vinyl patch be over a tear?
Overlap the damage by at least 2 inches on every side, which spreads the load well beyond the compromised fabric. Undersized patches concentrate stress right at the edge of the original tear and tend to lift within weeks.
Why do repair patches need rounded corners?
Square corners peel. A right angle creates a lifting point that catches on handling, folding, and moving airflow, and once one corner starts to lift the rest of it follows. Rounding the corners removes that starting point entirely.
How long does vinyl cement take to cure before re-inflating?
Give it several hours at minimum, and overnight is better. Manufacturers commonly specify around 24 hours for full strength, and inflating too early puts pressure across a bond that has not yet reached the strength it actually needs.
When should an inflatable be stitched instead of glued?
Whenever the damage sits on a seam, crosses a load path, or runs longer than a few inches. Anchor points, D-ring mounts, jump surfaces, and baffle junctions all get stitched, because adhesive alone will not hold under repeated stress.
What is a baffle and can a torn baffle be repaired?
Baffles are internal walls that control how a unit holds its shape under pressure. Torn baffles are repairable, though the work requires opening and reclosing the piece, so it always takes rather longer than an external panel repair.
Can a vinyl tent top be repaired or does the panel have to be replaced?
